Our client is a leading retail organisation with a large engineering team looking to drive improvements in their SDLC, with a focus across the 4 key DORA metrics as well as incorporating flow metrics: Deployment Frequency, Change Lead Time, Change Failure Rate, and Time to Restore Services. A specific target of the engagement was to look at Environment Management.
Challenges
Within the customer organisation, the process of implementing changes to an application was more time-consuming than necessary, slowing down the delivery lifecycle. Development and testing environments were often non-functional or unavailable for developers and testers, creating significant bottlenecks in the path to production.
